The Tomb of the Unknowns

If you have ever been to Arlington National Cemetery I hope that you took the time to visit the Tomb of the Unknowns. Too many pass by without really stopping to fully understand the tomb's meaning, it is not just a marble monument. However, if you have ever had the chance to speak to a tomb guard they will tell you that it isn't just a job; they give years of their lives to honor the unknown soldiers.
I am extremely proud to say that two of my best friends have had the honor of guarding the tomb. Sgt. Christopher Parker and Spc. Kristopher Mancha served together on the 1st Relief. Both men have since moved on from the Tomb and are currently deployed. The pictures below are from Mancha's last walk at the tomb. Mancha has successfully walked over 1,000 times including a "superman" where he did as many on walks as he could do during the day (on and off) and then guarded in full uniform all night without a break from 7pm to 8am. I am so very proud of you and all the men who guard the Tomb. Get home safe and I love you both very much!
